Pre-oxidized fiber:
Pre-oxidized fiber (PANOF), referred to as pre-oxidized silk for short, is the basic material for producing carbon fiber. It is obtained by pre-oxidizing polyacrylonitrile (PAN) precursor fibers. This product is applicable to: thermal insulation for photovoltaic thermal fields, heat insulation felt; automobile flame retardant and heat insulation felt; all-vanadium flow battery felt; flame retardant yarn, fabric, energy storage battery electrical materials; aramid blended fireproof materials; high-temperature resistant additive filter materials, high-temperature special packing and friction materials, industrial high-temperature pipeline insulation pipes, etc.
Performance characteristics of pre-oxidized fibers:
High flame retardancy: The oxygen index is greater than 45, with no melting, no shrinkage, and no molten drops during combustion.
High temperature resistance: Good flexibility, no spread of combustion, and the flame retardant grade is S-A.
Chemical resistance: Excellent resistance to acid and alkali corrosion, chemical environments, and radiation.
Good heat insulation effect: No shrinkage or molten drops during combustion.
Pre-oxidized fibers have various product forms, such as chopped pre-oxidized fibers, pre-oxidized yarns, pre-oxidized fabrics, and pre-oxidized felts.
They have a wide range of application fields, including:
Building fire protection: As flame-retardant materials, they are used in parts of buildings such as partition walls, ceilings, and floors.
Aerospace: As strength materials, they are used in structural materials of carriers such as satellites and rockets.
Fireproof materials: Used in the production of fireproof, fire-extinguishing blankets, and heat-resistant and flame-retardant materials for special construction isolation.
Industrial applications: Used in high-temperature sealing fillers, heat-resistant fabrics, and anti-corrosion fillers.
